Step II - Design + Details

The design process for our new Modena Collection started 2 years ago during the first trips we made out to Grasse, France to develop our cologne collection (view those colognes on our site).

The design process took place over nearly 24 months

 Our customers have excellent taste…

Our customers have excellent taste…

The idea was sparked by our 2016 annual survey, in which Thomas Clipper customers told us they’d like to see a range of small batch colognes, and (nearly as popular) a leather line.

Over months of design and experimentation, we created half a dozen products we were proud of. These were then refined into our final product range through an attention to detail that we believe our customers demand.

 From design…

From design…

 …to execution.

…to execution.

As with all of our products, we wanted to make sure that each piece retained a sense of how unique it is. Handmade in a specific place, from a natural material, and in very small quantities. So we made sure to include details like the individual numbering (above) and the co-ordinates of the town in which the leather is made (below).
